GSK

Peter Murray has 45 years experience of Primary and Secondary Pharmaceutical Manufacture with experience concentrated in the areas of Quality Assurance and GMP compliance. In the past 20 years, the roles have included extensive international experience of cGMP Quality and Compliance oversight within GSK facilities and with 3rd party Suppliers of materials, components and contract manufactured finished pharmaceutical products. The current role is as Quality Director, External Supply Strategy responsible for ensuring the Quality implications for GSK’s existing and future business with external pharmaceutical manufacturers are incorporated into GSK’s external supply strategies. This follows several years as Quality Director.Europe Rx External Supply responsible for quality oversight of approximately 45 Third Party 3rd Party manufacturers within Europe who manufacture finished products used by GSK for worldwide supply.

Jim Browne

JTB Consultancy - Ex Director External Supply, GSK

Jim started his career in R&D with Beecham Pharmaceuticals working on product formulation and process development, before moving into New Product Development coordination. In 2001 Jim was appointed to head GSK Contract Manufacturing operations in Europe and subsequently took on additional responsibility for North America, with major restructuring of organisations, operating systems and processes to provide one standard operating model for management of all external supply across Europe and North America. He has been instrumental in the introduction and implementation of Global External Sourcing Strategies for a range of dose forms, together with major investments in Contractors to support New and Specialist product introductions.

Richard Fazackerley

Eisai

In his current position Richard is responsible for leading and facilitating the introduction of Eisai’s products into Europe whether they are newly developed, acquired or legacy products. This involves working with a broad range of stakeholders, thirds parties and customers at an international level. Prior to that Richard spent the last three years as the Head of Technical Affairs of the Eisai Manufacturing Limited team designing, developing, commissioning and validation Eisai’s new manufacturing plant at Hatfield Prior to that his career took him to Eli Lilly to set up and lead a validation group and act an international level within Lilly as one of the subject matter experts on validation., Hoffman LaRoche, leading the group responsible for Equipment support & validation at Roche Products Ltd and Amersham International plc, now part of GE Healthcare, were he held a variety of different roles within technical support, QA and R+D. He has also enjoyed time in the academic sector doing research and teaching. He has a wide range of experience within the industry covering most aspects of primary and secondary pharmaceutical manufacture. In the last few years Richard has been a regular speaker at conferences on a wide variety of subjects such as technology transfer, validation & project management, subjects he feels are vital to the success of companies in today’s market. Richard is also an active participant in industry forums. He is a Chartered Scientist, Chartered Chemist and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
